—Blog #3: For the Graff article, find a sentence (or sentences) that encapsulates what you think is main idea of which the writer aims to convince the reader (the thesis). Underline the sentence or sentences in the text and then rewrite it in your own words using an author tag to attribute the paraphrase to the author of the article. Finally, write a short paragraph discussing your process for picking out that thesis.
This essay invites us to think about students' intellectual abilities that go overlooked by schools because the4y come in unlikely packages. There must be many buried or hidden forms of intellectualism that do not get channeled into academic work but might if schools were more alert about tapping into them.
